Bio

"Cynthia Gabriel, is easily recognized as a key human rights advocate in Malaysia. She has spent most of her professional life in the field of advancing and promoting human rights, good governance and democratic freedoms. Cynthia has also worked on UN contractual research work in the area of migrant and refugee research and their vulnerabilities towards HIV/ AIDS. Much of her time has been devoted to building and shaping the work of leading human rights advancements in Malaysia and across the globe. 

In recognition of this she was elected Vice President of the global advocacy group, the Paris based International Federation for Human Rights (2004-2009), and has recently set up a policy centre called the Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4)."
