Zakaria bin Mohd. Nani

Zakaria Mohd Nani is the current Head of the Covid-19 Unit at the Ministry of Tourism Arts & Culture and Senior Deputy Director (Strategic Planning) Tourism Malaysia.
After obtaining a Diploma in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Marketing (Hons) from UITM, he has gone on to pursue careers ranging from HQ- Administration Division, HQ- International Marketing (Americas, Australia & Southern Europe), Communication division, ASEAN division, Special officer to Director General, Director of Tourism Malaysia in Istanbul, Sydney, Hong Kong, Sabah.   

Mr. Zakaria has been involved in many forms of social work including conducting soft skill training to communities in Turkey and Malaysia, giving counselling services in Tourism Malaysia and community in Malaysia and Turkey. Joined Salam Relief Humanitarian & Protect the Environment Expedition, Sungai Kijar Belum, Gerik.  Additionally, he has been involved in crisis management for the Malaysian Community, especially students during and after the Coup d'état in Turkey and involved in Tourism recovery programme/ stimulus packages for COVID-19 virus.
